Our Foundation's Purpose
The James D. Loughlin Memorial Foundation was formed to help
families and individuals when unexpected events take place in
their lives. Through charitable fundraising efforts, the Foundation
is able to provide financial support, in the form of personal
gifts, to those coping with the difficult situations that arise
after an unexpected tragedy, illness or death. It is the hope
of the family, that out of our tragedy, we can not only keep
the memory of Jamie alive, but also provide something good for
other people in a time of need.
Utilizing funds from the Foundation, an endowed scholarship
has been established to provide financial assistance to a junior
or senior student majoring in the Construction Management sequence
in the Department of Technology at Illinois State University.
Many would agree that Jay was gifted in seeing details, and
was brilliant in building, planning and developing. It only
seemed fitting to also create a scholarship in his memory. With
this scholarship, the family hopes to provide assistance to
other aspiring Construction Management majors to dream big,
believe in themselves and achieve great things. |
